"Celebration in the Big Easy"

This is one of the new Zulu coconuts, of the 2004 Mardi Gras, this year on February 24th, this coming season. These coconuts are REAL COCONUTS, prepared entirely by hand and made to last for a lifetime. If you're a collector of these Carnival favors, this one is the one to start with. We are offering for a limited time, the beginning of the entire series, entitled, "Celebration in the Big Easy".
There are only a limited number of these hand created coconuts made, which are comprised of various models. Your souvenir is hand numbered and sold with an Artist signed certificate of authenticity.
Each is carefully chosen and hand carved by a coconut Master, in New Orleans, Louisiana. Each nut is highly polished by hand then rubbed to a mirror finish. Each is then carefully engraved with a detailed image, then once again finely sanded to bring out the true beauty of the mahogany-like, deep brown grain, of the nut. Special fabric paint is then applied and while still wet, Ultra fine glitter is then added to enhance the engraved image and prepare the piece for proper lighted display.
This carving is that of the Fleur-delis, which is the symbol of the city of New Orleans, Louisiana, and is home to the largest celebration of Mardi Gras in north America. The engraved graphic is of the unofficial version of the word Mardi Gras from one of the many graphics about during the holiday, On the side is the name of the city New Orleans.
Prepared for the just past Carnival season, these extra special pieces are a Carnival collector's edition. Get yourself a curio and collect all the models over time.
